This ape finds himself playing with himself a lot but I also play video games by myself a lot too. It's not that I prefer to play games alone it's just that Mrs Hairyback isn't into video games and the little Hairyback in the house hasn't developed the dexterity to fully master a current generation console controller. Some say that a Wii would be a great console for my family but because I'm a... more. -

It captures the essence of this game perfectly because it's all about being in the zone and doing a hell of a lot of killing. At least it was up until now! We have just learned that Killzone Mercenary will offer gamers an alternative to blasting your way through every level. Some levels can be played with a s... more. -

Something incredible happened today. Gamers all over the world woke up this morning and for the first time, this always divided demographic was united. There was unanimous agreement that X-Box sucks and Playstation rules and this ape was feeling even more cocky than usual because I've been saying that for ages and today I was proven right. Anyway, enough about me, my huge brain and my big s... more. -

E3 has unleashed quite a few nice looking horror and zombie related games, which for the likes of me is a great thing as I cant get enough of the walking bags of puss. However, even if smelly dead people don't float you boat it is still worth your while checking out Telltales The Walking Dead game as it is really more about the people and their stories than it is about zombies. Those of us tha... more. -

Both of the big kahunas have stepped into the ring and gotten out their meaty punching gloves, as you can view below in the press conference from Sony and Microsoft. I would, as always, advise you to investigate the evidence and make your own conclusions, otherwise your just talking shite really. We here at GZ however never talks shite - we fling it and in doing our homework over E3 we have come... more. -

The global community of gaming sadists whipped themselves into a frenzy last night as we all got a look at some more evil, brutal and down right cruel video gaming in the form of Dark Souls 2. I've seen so many different games in the last hour and a half during the Sony press conference. Too many to go into now when I should be in bed. But probably the biggest piece of information, the most important thing gamers wanted to know and perhaps the key thing which will win the console war for Sony; PS4 supports used games, does not require an online connection or a 24 hour online check-i... more. -

Ubisoft showed a new trailer for the upcoming Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag at E3 2013. Mirror’s Edge 2 – It’s happening people!

EA closes its show with a rather pleasant surprise indeed; a brand new Mirror's Edge. The first game, while not perfect, was original and different enough to warrant some serious attention when it came out back in 2008 and has developed something of a cult fan base. I really got a kick out of the parkour and the visceral combat and gunplay felt fluid and satisfying. The promise of a sequel ... more. -

€499. That's how much an Xbox One will cost you. And it’s out in November. And it has games. Microsoft chose not to comment on all the controversies so unfortunately those debates will rage on for the time being but at least we now know the price of the console one way or another. It seems a little higher than people expected but when you factor in the bundled Kinect it’s probably about ... more.
